Global to local…
Cheers magazine is celebrating an international culture at Scottish & Newcastle
How do you make an international magazine feel local?
Scottish & Newcastle wanted to create a sense of one-company brand engagement for its employees across all of its European divisions.
Many regions of the drinks giant already had their own in-house magazine, but there was no uniting theme, no co-ordination between them or synchronicity.
The answer was a new magazine with a common slug of corporate and internationally relevant content, to which regions could add their own local flavour.
Cheers – the name sets the right social and celebratory tone – is translated into nine languages, its people-based stories bridging country and cultural divides. And like the ingredients in the Group's drink brands, the result helps create an organisation that is more than just the sum of its parts
