Redhouse Lane is providing content strategy and information architecture consultancy to help strengthen the European Investment Bank’s communication and knowledge-sharing infrastructure.
The work underpins a core strategic objective to support Europe’s small and medium sized firms. More than 120,000 SMEs received EIB support last year, with loans worth more than EUR 13 billion – largely intermediated through country-based banks like RBS, which in turn was responsible for almost half of all loans to small businesses in the UK in 2011.
New French president François Hollande’s calls to significantly increase EIB’s lending capacity to help boost SMEs and spur economic growth in Europe have been backed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
SMEs provide 80% of new jobs in the EU.
