How to inspire the next generation of innovative entrepreneurs? That was the challenge laid down by the UK Government’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.
To help fire young imaginations, we developed a video magazine to showcase the cutting-edge technologies shaping different business sectors and to make expert predictions on how we will be living in 30 years’ time.
Shot at locations from Selfridges and the London College of Fashion to the Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult centre and St Thomas’s Hospital, the films looked at wearable technology and healthcare of the future. They featured innovations such as invisibility fabrics, clothes that change colour according to mood, therapies that can bring cells back to life and digital applications that speed up disease diagnosis.
The content made an immediate impact. Within weeks, the wearable technologies video became the most-viewed on Innovate UK’s YouTube channel.
