2014 Commonwealth Games: Delhi handover ceremony

Challenge
Glasgow 2014, the organising committee set up to deliverthe 20th Commonwealth Games, needed to let everyone at the Delhi 2010 handoverceremony know that Glasgow would be the next home of the games.
Alongside a variety of press and public informationmaterials, they wanted to make an impact at the closing ball and other highprofile events. They also needed a promotional campaign to generate awarenessof the closing ceremony back in Scotland.
Our response
Working to extremely tight deadlines and across differenttime zones, we created a range of bright, colourful collateral for the ceremony, including press handbooks, progress documents, programmes and guides.
For the closing ball and presentation venues, we createddynamic, large scale graphics, stage backdrops and display materials.
And for the audience back in Scotland, we created posters, emailawareness campaigns and souvenir materials including DVDs of the event for all ofthe cast who attended.
Result
The event attracted a huge volume of press coverage andfeedback. The press packs were particularly successful – anecdotal evidenceclaimed they were most comprehensive and successful of recent internationalgames events.
