We’re not a charity. But supporting our employees’ volunteering efforts, and sharing our knowledge and expertise with and in our local community and our professional networks can pay dividends. It strengthens our employer brand, helping us to recruit and retain the best people, and heightens our profile in the markets in which we work.

Sharing knowledge

Each year we run a series of free seminars on the issues people are talking about in our industry. These Talk Tuesday events bring together clients, staff and external speakers to share ideas, make new contacts and benefit from each other’s expertise.

Sharing skills

Our staff are active in professional bodies, giving their time to help organise events and run training. In 2009 for example, our people helped develop and adjudicate training for a new Communicators in Business diploma and International Visual Communications Association awards.

Making time

We recently formed a working partnership with a local youth charity, Fitzrovia Youth in Action www.fya.org.uk. Their aim is to engage disadvantaged young people in organising projects that benefit others.

We work to encourage the next generation of designers, writers, film-makers and web developers wherever possible, offering work placements, student talks, CV and portfolio advice.

To encourage staff to contribute their skills and expertise, the company donates 150 hours for any member of staff to give their time.
