Vicky GrantHead of Resources
Describe your job in five words…
Variable, chaotic, organised, diplomatic, administrative.
What has been your most memorable project since starting at Redhouse Lane and why?
The annual Away Day. It's an organisational nightmare but always worthwhile. Each year there is one standout memory – most of which I can't share.

Redhouse Lane is an Investor in People. What advice would you give to a company that wants to invest in its employees?
Throwing money at training courses does not equal investing in your staff. The most valuable investments are time, support and a commitment to realising their potential.
What one thing would make your job easier?
Longer days or a nice mews flat near the office.
Where is your home town and what is the best thing about it?
Edinburgh. It's one of the most beautiful cities in the UK and has everything you need but in a relatively compact space so is easy to get around.
What job would you be doing if you weren't HR manager at Redhouse Lane?
I’d like to think that I'd be doing something worthy, possibly working for a charity, preferably somewhere sunny.
What was the last good deed you did?
Alongside a couple of friends I set-up a food scheme at a rural school in Guatemala that we pay for between us every month. It provides two nutritional meals a day for the indigenous children that attend the school.
Which famous person would you like to be stuck in the Redhouse Lane lift with and why?
Robert de Niro. I could listen to his voice for hours.
Tell us something about yourself that your colleagues don't know…
I went to the same school as Tony Blair.
Who is your favourite famous Vicky/Victoria and why?
Victoria Wood – she's a comic genius.
