London Thames Gateway Annual Report published
This year’s Annual Report of the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation, designed by Redhouse Lane, was published today.
The report outlines how the London Thames Gateway will be developed over the next few years, with the aim of ensuring housing and social facilities are available to encourage people to live and work in the area, and of encouraging the development of existing and new industry and commerce.
The eight development projects are about regenerating the area for local people and the report has to reflect that, said Redhouse Lane Creative Director Raf Amato.
"The prime audience is people who live and work in the area. The design of the report is based on the idea that the project will soon become a reality for these people – things are starting to change," he added.
"We combined aerial photographs and conceptual sketches to create a sense that the project is no longer just an idea, it’s actually starting to take shape. We also used photo reportage to capture images of the people whose lives the new projects will transform."
The Corporation’s programme of projects in London is expected to deliver 21,000 new homes and more than 9,000 new jobs in the London Riverside and Lower Lea Valley areas.
In addition, Redhouse Lane is currently working on a branding refresh for the corporation.
